Why we do this
The gap
Same player. Same skill. Drag the line and watch how a single thing — a pair of boots that survives the monsoon — changes everything downstream.
The fork that stalls
The founder’s turn
I got to train under coaches who'd worked with PSG, Arsenal and Bengaluru FC. That access changed how I saw the game — and it made one thing impossible to un-see.
The kids I grew up playing against were just as good. Sometimes better. What they didn't have was a pair of boots that lasted past the first monsoon. That was the whole difference. Not talent. Not want. Gear.
So this isn't about rescuing anyone. Nobody here needs rescuing. It's about removing the one barrier that has nothing to do with how good you are — and then getting out of the way.
Theory of change
We’re honest about this: boots don’t make a professional. They remove the one barrier that was never about talent — and let the rest become possible.
The one variable that stops talent cold. Fix it first.
What your money is — and isn’t
ABFEF isn't a registered NGO and has no fiscal sponsor, so your gift is a contribution, not a tax-deductible donation — so there's no 80G receipt. It buys boots, sized and delivered by verified coaches to the players who need them most. We can only accept donations from within India for now. Payments are made on our Fuel A Dream campaign page.
Boots, sized and delivered by verified coaches to the players who need them most. Pooled giving, allocated fairly — not a popularity contest.
Follow-the-journey shows your gift reaching a real player, with honest updates — setbacks as well as wins. Proof it arrived beats a promise that it will.
We can only accept donations from within India at the moment. When we're set up to receive from abroad, we'll say so — we won't quietly take what we can't properly account for.
None of the talent was the problem. One pair of boots was. See where the clubs are, and how you can get involved.
